The Kingdom of Avalon

A mythical island paradise beyond the sunset, where King Arthur and other heroes are taken after death. In addition, Avalon means Island of Apples in the Breton Language.

The Broceliande Forest

This forest in Brittany was the home of Vivian, in other words, the Lady of the Lake. Furthermore, When Merlin fell in love with her, he taught her all his spells. Vivian turned them against him to seal his mouth and imprison him in a tomb by a mysterious fountain, which can be seen there to this day.

The Book of Kells

This colourfully illustrated book of ancient Celtic teachings combines Irish-Celtic style with Anglo-Saxon colouring. In addition, it was compiled over generations and completed in the town of Kells, Ireland. In conclusion, despite its intricate illustrations it has basic and repetitive text, not to mention, it was apparently not meant to read aloud.

The Lady of the Lake

A name given to the enchantress Vivian who lives in a murky lake. She gave King Arthur his sword, Excalibur, and raised the knight Lancelot. After she tricked and imprisoned Merlin she replaced him in the Arthurian court. As Merlin had warned her that Morgan Le Fay was plotting against Arthur, Vivian defeated the plot and saved his life. Later she was one of the queens who escorted King Arthur to Avalon after the destruction of Camelot.
